Optional scripting of the Zoomify Converter requires creation of scripts in the scripting language of your choice (ASP, JSP, PHP, etc.). The Zoomify Annotation Viewer is ready to use 'out-of-the-box.' Optional customization of the Viewer's Flash source files requires Adobe Flash editor. Publishing: The Zoomify Annotation System can be implemented for viewing without any special server setup. Annotation editing requires setup of a means to save (post) edit data: ASP, PHP, and servlet alternatives are provided. Servlet use would require setup of a third-party servlet container (e.g., JRun, Tomcat). Similarly, optional single-file storage requires setup of the Zoomify Servlet and servlet container. Optional synchronized multi-user viewing requires installation of Adobe Flash Communication Server. Viewing: Flash Player v6 or later is used for viewing - over 96% of internet users already have this on their systems Licensing: Unlike Zoomify's other products, Zoomifyer Enterprise is licensed per server, as is common for sever-side enterprise products.
