Written by Susan Johnston. Godeys Ladys Book was probably the most influential womens magazine of its era. Besides offering its readers needlework projects, recipes, hints on household care and womens romances, the magazine featured hand tinted fold outs showing the latest fashions. From those pages, a set of seven fashion paper dolls, each with its own separate wardrobe, a collection of 50 costumes, have been created. 32 pages showing in detail and authentic 1860s color costumes for ladies and girls. Soft cover, 9 ½ X 12 ½.
