7 June 2005
This impressive display of pageantry takes place in June each year to celebrate the official Birthday of the Sovereign and is carried out by her personal troops, the Household Division, on Horse Guards Parade, with the Queen herself attending and taking the salute.
This is the set of stamps on Norvic FDC showing a guardsman with his drill rifle backed up by a marching display of similar guards. The Horse Guards Parade London postmark shows two ranks of trumpets.
