The vendor from whom Wedge Worldwide buys this product has been cooperating with a jewelry workshop in India for over two years. It was founded when the owner of the workshop was approached by a young goldsmith who could not find work, but was quite skilled. The workshop is clean and the workers are not only paid fairly, but also receive free lodging in a new, clean house and free clothing, so they can save money for their families who live in one of the poorest provinces of India. Our vendor has visited this workshop and was quite impressed with the joy and camaraderie amongst the young goldsmiths who are employed there. Even when other jobs are offered to them, they refuse to leave, because they like their work environment so much.
