Provides the theological basis and organisational structure for the Hutterite communities from the 16th century to the present. While in prison, Riedemann wrote this book for the Lutheran ruler, Philip of Hesse, to interpret the Hutterites' vision of a renewed community and to dispel popular misconceptions about Anabaptists. In the first part, Riedemann summarises Hutterite faith and communal living, arguing that his understanding of the church is the intended meaning of the classic creeds. In the second, he discusses six issues more extensively. (Classics of the Radical Reformation, No. 9)
