This book is an analytically researched criticism on the poetry of Sri Aurobindo, excluding Savitri, tracing three distinct and definitive phases in his life, viz the Cambridge period, the Baroda period and the Pondicherry period. This study perceives the relative growth of his mind and art. The evolution of the poet, politician, yogi in his poetry is a study that will be useful to scholars, teachers and students of Indo-Anglian poetry.
