Daru Daru is an extremely hard and durable flooring with a hardness of 1980 Janka, much harder than oak and maple, with a dense straight grain. A naturally light colored wood, Daru Daru is also known as Golden Maple. Color variation in the planks ranges from a light blonde to light brown tones. Although rare in the United States, this hardwood native to Indonesia, makes an excellent choice for flooring due to its durability and natural golden color. Each plank is 3/4 (17.5mm) thick and 3 1/4 (85mm) wide and prefinished with a hard urethane based low gloss natural finish. It is milled with the traditional tongue and groove construction and is end-matched, meaning that there is a tongue and groove on the end of each board.
Normally priced significantly higher, this inventory hasbeen made available at this deep discount because of the packaging- each box is packaged by length instead of the traditional mixed boxes- there will be a mix of 18, 24, 30, and 36 lengths for each order. Although not packaged with traditional random lengths mixed in single boxes the packaging is superb. The flooring within each box is shrinkwrapped, with foam between the layers of flooring to insure a flawless finish.

NAIL DOWN: can be nailed to any structurally sound wooden subfloor. If this flooring is being installed using the nail down method in a basement or over a crawl space a vapor barrier should be used between the flooring and subfloor.
