This rare and beautiful silver medal by Regnier Arondeaux was struck in Holland to commemorate the coronation of William and Mary (MI (i) 668/39). The coronation ceremony took place in London on the 11th/21st April 1689 (MI (i) 668/39). The reverse shows a prostrate oak, near a flourishing orange tree, fleet in the distance. The diameter is 63mm. The medal has some minor edge knocks on the obverse, otherwise it is in almost EF condition. The tone is light and very nice. Payment by banker's draft, or Sterling, Dollar or Euro cheque only.
