"Tell them a hookah-smoking caterpillar has given you the call..."
The first wand of this shape was created for a woman named Alice. The flowing shape of the handle and the flowing psychedelic colors were inevitable, and conducive to meditative work. This is a wand for going inwards, perhaps, and I prefer the Copper leaf, the metal of Hecate, as an embellishment. The wide butt end is a spot for more elaborate design than many of my wands.
Lately, I have created several of these wands using woods that are so beautiful there is no need for the painted finish! Purpleheart, Red Fir, and Fiddled Maple, for instance, have inspired me with their natural beauty, as they may do you.
The top wand is cut from dark, warm, Walnut wood, and has a Dakota Turquoise set into it. Since the coloring of Turquoise comes from Copper Oxide, it was only natural that I patinaed the seven copper bands.
As this wand is generally cut to your specifications, please expect a wait of two to six weeks for it.
