Tino Contreras, considered one of Mexico's finest drummer/composers, records live with his sextet from the Palacio de Bellas Artes in Mexico City. A pioneer of jazz in Mexico, Contreras is the winner of a Ditinguished Emmy Award, 8 National Jazz Festivals, and appears on the first jazz record ever made in Mexico, Orfeon, recorded in 1954.
