Bottomline:Seriously, though, after replacing the o-ring and lens, this flashlight is perfect for me. Floody enough to use in tight spaces but it out-throws most other lights that aren't built solely for distance. Although I haven't taken any solid measurements, to my eye, this is brighter than my SSC P-7 light (at least in terms of hotspot) and throws many times further. Although I'm glad to say I've never had to whack anyone on the head with it, I did use it to blind a fellow to popped out at me from an alleyway and it worked brilliantly, giving me enough time to either thwack him on the forehead or run away (I chose the latter). Overall, this is a great light. It's relatively inexpensive, and even better, it can fill many different roles as well or better than more expensive, purpose built flashlights. Of course, it won't do EVERYTHING, but it does more than any other light I have. Buy it!
