Plantskydd® Repellent Deer • Rabbits • Elk Soluble Powder Concentrate can be applied to edible plants during the growing season; however, it requires a one month pre-harvest interval. Usually only the browsing parts of the plants are treated: low for rabbits, high up for deer or elk. It is best not to treat the edible part of the crop if that can be avoided. This product is the solution when there is an extreme growing season browsing problem.
Plantskydd® Repellent Deer • Rabbits • Elk Soluble Powder Concentrate can be applied to ornamentals, perennials or annuals to keep them browse-free. For best protection, apply before browse begins in the spring or fall, and reapply to growing parts of plants every 3-4 months in the growing season. Always treat new growth until plant has reached full leaf-out. In addition, it can be applied to trees both conifers and deciduous, to protect them all year long.
It is important to apply Plantskydd® on dry plants, and allow it to dry thoroughly at least 24 hours (without rain). With proper application, Plantskydd® is rain-resistant and does not require re-application after watering or rainfall. Ideally, apply in the morning or late afternoon, when the sun is not as strong.
Mixing Instructions:
Wet the mixing container, then pour a measure of the powder in, to avoid the powder sticking to the sides from static.
Slowly stir in an equal measure of lukewarm water into the measure of powder, making a lumpless paste/slurry. A kitchen whisk works well for this.
Add the rest of the water. Stir gently to avoid foaming. Then allow it to stand for at least 20 minutes.
Pour the solution through a coarse filter or cheesecloth into spray applicator of your choice.
2.2 lbs will cover 1/3 acre of row crops or 400-600 plants 1 ft tall. Application to trees depends on the species and whether dipping or spraying.
