Germany beer stein with a loving couple and the words O Schone Jugendziet or O Beautiful Youth on the front. The sides of the stein have German castles and the words Bier, Lieb und Lied -- Beer, Love and Song -- and Schaffer froh Gemut which translates to something about cozy and happy. The handle is a twisted vine with leaves. The pewter lid has been removed, leaving a small rectangular aperture in the top of the handle. The bottom is marked GERMANY and has the number 4 incised into the pottery. Except for the missing lid, this stein is in ecxellent condition.
