70 minute digitally remastered re-release of Section 25's 1981 Factory debut album, originally released as Fact 45 and produced by Martin Hannett at Pink Floyd?s Britannia Row studio. This CD includes 9 bonus tracks, including all tracks from the "Girls Don?t Count" (Fac 18) and "Haunted" (FBN 3) singles as well as rare compilation tracks and album outtake "Human Puppets". The newly re-modelled artwork faithfully reproduces the original Peter Saville sleeve design and contains facsimilie memorabilia and detailed sleevenotes. In February 1981 Section 25 cut their debut album "Always Now" at Britannia Row studio in London, with Martin Hannett (again) producing. While tracks such as "Dirty Disco", "Friendly Fires" and "Be Brave" continued to mine a driving, rhythmic vein, looser compositions such as "Babies in the Bardo" and "Melt Close" offered spacey, acid-psych atmospherics which, while out of time in 1981, must have seemed perfectly at home in a studio constructed and owned by Pink Floyd. This band, even clearly unsuccessful, is probably one of the most interesting bands of the 80's (and 90's).
