From the Batu Sari Diamond Collection, this set is as admirable as it is brilliant. The top part of the drop earring is themed after the Dot Nuansa collection, in which John Hardy takes 18K Gold and sterling silver beads and flattens them to make small circular discs. The discs are then hand-embedded in a natural rhythmic pattern. The stones are set with unusual triangular-shaped prongs that envelope the stones, like a silk sari wraps a beautiful Balian woman. Pave-set diamons (totaling 0.38 karats) border the center stone to create more brilliance. Using sterling silver and 18K gold, the complex grillwork of the metal is inspired by the carved stone widow screens of the desert palaces of India.
