The RMC-G8500 Rapid I/O Mezzanine Card, populated with Motorolas MPC8540 processor, is a cost-effective, general purpose integrated processor mezzanine board and targets systems using Rapid I/O and PCI interfaces in networking infrastructure, telecommunications, and other embedded markets. The RMC-G8500 can be used for control processing in applications such as routers, switches, network storage applications and image display systems. The design is an exceptional development platform for software development and debug, as well as for hardware development. The available matching mounting holes conforming to RMC specifications enable the board to be mounted in a RMC compatible host board. Without the RMC connector P15 installed, the board can also be mounted on a PMC compatible host board but this board does not comply with PMC power requirements.
