Vintage Takano gold lame travel pearl case and earring bag can also be used for a necklace. Both the case and the ring bag are lined with white satin. It is an estate piece that has never been used and comes to you in its original box. The small white bone-shaped object on the front flap is a key that fits into a slit in the fabric to close the case. The key looks like a natural material. It has a grain and ridges and could be either bone or ivory.
Both the case and the bag are perfectly clean inside and outside. The gold lame is very bright and the woven pattern is subtle. Light plays with the surface and it looks different every time you move it. We have photographed it so that you can easily see the pattern. The earring or ring bag fits inside the pearl case when the case is closed.
Both the case and the earring bag are gold stamped, Takano Pearls, Palace Hotel, Tokyo. The Palace Hotel is a 5-star hotel built in 1961.
