The Marquis of Lorne became Governor-General of Canada in 1878 and helped found the Royal Canadian Academy of the Arts. This book is a condensed version of a larger book by the Marquis of Lorne called "Canadian Pictures". The book covers each area of Canada, its climate and the advantages Canada offered to settlers at that time. It contains six illustrations and is in good condition with some stains on the pages. Red cloth cover with gilt lettering.
