Puffins are such cool birds with their ludicrous beaks and improbably shaped bodies. This one is perched on a rock surrounded by pink sea thrift, a hardy plant with interesting textures. Both puffins and sea thrift survive the salt water spray and cold. I loved the stark contrast of black, white , orange and brilliant blue of the sky.
