ORIGINAL ITEM: These are the original WWII Spare/Tool compartmentalized wood chest (10"x 17"x51/2") made to hold a variety of required replacement parts for the Axis M-37 Breda MG, such as, Op Rod/Recoil Spring Assembly, Bolt Head Assembty, etc.. In addition there is an inletted tray for both specialized and commonplace hand tools for gun maintenance together with oil and petroleum cans. Regrettably many of the common hand tools (pliers, hammers, etc.) are missing as the soldiers took them home, however, much of the contents are still present. There is a paper label in the lid illustrating the original contents specification in detail.
