The D-Link AirPlus DWL-900AP+ is an enhanced 802.11b Wireless Access Point featuring advanced silicon chip design from Texas Instruments, utilizing their patented Digital Signal ProcessingTM technology.
The D-Link DWL-900AP+ includes an embedded DHCP server that once enabled will automatically assign IP addresses to wireless clients. It also eliminates the need for a separate DHCP server on the network. This unique feature is ideal for quickly creating a wireless local area network whether in offices or other workplaces or a temporary network at trade shows or other events.
The D-Link DWL-900AP+ also features 256-bit WEP encryption for a higher level of security for your data and wireless communications.
The D-Link DWL-900AP+ is fully compatible with the IEEE 802.11b standard making it interoperable with all existing 802.11b compliant devices. But unlike standard 802.11b access points, its data transfer rate can be up to 20% faster. When your wireless network is comprised of other D-Link AirPlus products such as the DWL-520+ Wireless PCI Adapter, DWL-650+ Wireless Cardbus Adapter transfer rates can be as as high as 22Mbps!
