New Edition, Do I Have a Daddy?
Beautiful Full Color Illustrations
Do I Have a Daddy? was one of the first books we published, an 81/2" x 51/2" edition with black and white illustrations. In 1991 we changed it to its present size, 81/2" x 81/2", with new illustrations, still all black and white. More than 50,000 copies of these two editions have been sold.
Our new version, beautifully illustrated by Jami Moffett, is printed in full color, and we’re truly excited.
Do I Have a Daddy? has defied the publishing conventional wisdom that books must go out of print quickly to make room for new ones. Do I Have a Daddy? is still the only book we know that speaks to the child who has never known his/her father, and sales have remained amazingly constant for fifteen years.
It has helped thousands of single mothers explain to their child why daddy is absent. A special fourteen-page section offers suggestions to single mothers, gentle advice from young mothers who’ve been there.
Do I Have a Daddy? is ideal for teen parent programs and preschool libraries. We’re sure this beautiful version will please single mothers and their children even more. The book should also be required reading for single-parent families as an essential tool for building their children’s self-esteem," according to the Kansas City Star. The Single Mother publication termed the book a "delightful story about a single-parent child named Erik, and his compassionate young mother."
The 48-page book with its full color illustrations is priced at $7.95 for the paper edition, $14.95 for hardcover. Quantity discounts available. Free Study Guide on request.

Evelyn Bassoffs heartfelt advice to mother abandoned by her babys father really hit home. In the two and a half years since my son was born, his father has been in and out of out lives, and only recently began paying child support. As Dr. Bassoff recommends, I make sure that my son spends time with my own father and male friends of the family, all of whom are always eager to help. Books like Do I Have a Daddy?, by, Jeanne Warren Lindsay (Morning Glory Press), and photographs of his father, taken while he was still around, help my son understand his situation. Being a single mother is difficult, but encouragement from loved oneseven magazine articleshas proved invaluable to me.
