Simonis worsted cloth is woven from combed wool yarn of long, tightly twisted threads. This is what worsted means. You see, standard woolen cloths have long and short fibers that are woven together to make a bulky yarn with a fuzzy surface. With Simonis Cloth, the short fibers are removed from the yarn, and the yarn is then twisted before weaving, producing a tough but smooth, and level cloth.
