Geraint Jarman was the first Welsh language pop star and this collection highlights the golden years between 1977 and 1981 when the band were undoubtedly the biggest live draw in Wales . During this period the band released a succession of fantastic albums that brought a new kind of pop sensibility and urban attitude to the scene in Wales , combining new wave , punk , rock , reggae , dub and even country styles .
The live versions of thirteen classic Jarman songs highlights the fantastic playing of the musicians and the sometimes hysterical energy that was conjured up between performer and audience .
Some of the versions on this cd surpass the more familiar recorded versions in terms of emotional and musical power . The tracks were hand picked by Geraint himself from the band's sound archive and are presented here for the first time .
