Saida - Lebanon PREFACE
All praise is due to Allah, the Lord of the Worlds, and Salutations and peace be on the Leader of the Prophets and the Cream of Creation, our master and protector, Muhammad, whom Allah has sent as a mercy to the entire world, and on his family and companion the stars in the darkness and the suns of enlightenment and knowledge, and on all who follow them in good until the Day of Judgement.
This book is composed of discourses on the History of the Prophets (May the peace and blessing of Allah be on all of them) that I delivered to the students in the Department of History in the College of Shariah and Islamic Studies at the university of Umm al-Qurrah in Makkah al-Mukar mah. I maintained brevity and
selected the narrations carefully, taking only the authentic. First, I cited the Book of Allah which falsehood does not approach either from the back or the front' as proof and then relied On authentic narrations from the sayings of the Master of the Prophets. Last, I returned to the books of history and selected the narrations that
agree with the Book and Sunnah and do not contradict logic. I discarded the Jewish folktales that are at variance with sound logic and religion.
To make what i have collected more accessible, I decided to collect the discourses, thereby fulfilling the need to know the lives of the prophets their message, their system of guidance and how they moved the nations and tribes from the darkness of ignorance and error into the light of guidance and faith. ---
A Beautifully Presented Book By Al-Sheikh Muhammad Ali Sabuni 'Say ye: "We believe in Allah, and the revelation given to us, and to Abraham, Isma'il, Isaac, Jacob, and the Tribes, and that given to Moses and Jesus, and that given to (all) prophets from their Lord: We make no difference between one and another of them: And we bow to Allah (in Islam).'
