The Japanese American Experience: The Japanese American Citizens League Curriculum and Resource Guide by the JACL National Education Committee Racism, economic interests, and violation of constitutional rights were among the major causes of the Japanese American internment during World War II. Yet the school curriculum does not offer substantive information in the textbooks that are currently in use about lessons learned from the internment experience. This resource guide is developed to assist educators designing lesson plans regarding Japanese American internment.
