If your portable DVD/TV ever stopped in the middle of a film, then you will need a long life battery. PM60 Universal Battery can power a normal 7" portable DVD player around 4-6 hours, and is suitable for a wide range of portable DVD players (Panasonic, Toshiba, Philips, Sumsung, Shinco, Tevion, Next Base, Centurion...), portable TV, or other gadget which require DC power at 8 - 9.5 V or 11-12 V. The portable DVD player shown in the image is not included.
Before connecting the battery to your gadget, always ask yourself two questions:
- Is it set to the right voltage? (check the voltage switch at the back of the battery, Switch to 9 V if the portable DVD requires 9 or 9.5 VDC input; Switch to 12 V if the portable DVD requires 11 or 12 V)
- Is it set to the right polarity? (please see Fig 1 & 2 below) Fig 1. Normal Polarity (as most portable DVD's setup): if the printing at the portable DVD's DC in jack is as 1a, then connect the selected plug to the universal battery as 1b. Fig 2. Reversed Polarity (very rare): if the printing at the portable DVD's power in jack is as 2a, then connect the selected plug to the universal battery as 2b.
If you forget to check the above two points, Allcam will not be responsible if your portable DVD player is burnt by the wrong voltage or polarity.
