This is perhaps the most unique of all the gourds we are showcasing on behalf of Stone Akin and is one of, if the favourite, of Jason's. Sitting on genuine deer antler, this extra large bowl can be used to display pine cones, potpourri or other similar items. Genuine leather is handstitched around the entire bowl and, most compelling of all, is the incredible image of the three horsemen riding across the plains. Blackfoot artist Stone Akin created this incredible one-of-a-kind gourd bowl using a homegrown gourd. This is a beautiful example of traditional Native American Indian gourd work by one of the finest artists working with gourds today. This beautiful genuine handcrafted bowl measures a robust 21" long, 10" at the widest point and stands 10 1/2"tall. Stone grows his own gourds, cleans them and then burns and paints the images all by hand using traditional tools and techniques in honour of his Native American ancestry. These one-of-a-kind items make astonishing home decor items and are beautiful heirloom quality gift items. Signed by the artist.
