This authentic Native American Indian horsehair ceramic statue by Tom Vail captures the image of the "Woman of the Wind." Embodying maternity and connection to past and future generations, this beautiful statue is crafted using white ceramic and genuine horsehair which creates the dark brown shading and lines. Tom Vail and his family have been making horeshair statues, bowls and vases for years and have become perhaps the most popular Navajo horsehair potters today. Measurements: 12 1/2" tall and 8" wide. NOTE: Each of these statues is a unique one-of-a-kind. There will be color and shade variations that are inherent to handmade horsehair pottery. The lines created by the horsehair application will never be identical. The etchings will also vary in shape and size from piece to piece as each one is etched by hand. No two pieces will be exactly alike.
