20 year old Southend wunderkind Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly. (aka Sam Duckworth to his mates) releases his debut album 'The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager'.
Featuring Get Cape's debut AA single 'I Spy / Call Me Ishmael' and new single 'The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager (Part 1)', the album is predominantly self-produced, with the lion's share of the recording done between Duckworth's Southend bedroom and a converted lock up near Luton. It also features new versions of tracks from 2005's rarer than rare and long sold out independent 'Get Cape Wear Cape Fly EP'.
'The Chronicles Of A Bohemian Teenager' sees Duckworth taking the classicism of folk music and splicing it with modern technology and a youths-eye-view of modern day Britain. Much of the album was written during a succession of self-generated tours which saw Duckworth playing gigs across the country (over 150 since January 2005), crashing on floors and getting drunk with new friends throughout the UK. It's inspired by everything from Duckworth's love / hate relationship with the "scummy town" he calls home, by run-ins with the British National Party, escapism and teenage hedonism.
Angry, cheerful, impassioned, inspired, tuned-in and tuneful: Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly is ready for lift-off.
