This colorful 13"x 22" poster, developed by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), demonstrates the sequences for donning and removing personal protective equipment (PPE). The poster provides key instructions in both English and Spanish to reinforce safe practices and is intended to limit the spread of contamination. Safe practices include:
- Keep hands away from face;
- Limit surfaces touched;
- Change gloves when torn or heavily contaminated; and
- Perform hand hygiene.
The type of PPE used varies based on the level of precautions required; however, information is provided on gowns, masks or respirators, goggles or face shield, and gloves.
