England's Finest Hour World Cup Heroes Smilers Sheet - issued 6 June 2006 2006 marks the 40th anniversary of England beating Germany in the 1966 Football World Cup Final and Royal Mail has issued a Smilers Sheet with 20 pictures from the day including an aerial view of the stadium and the presentation of the Jules Rimet trophy to England captain Bobby Moore.
Our exclusive limited edition Norvic first day cover shows a 1966 Maximum card with the England Winners stamp cancelled at Wembley, on a World Cup Willie postcard. Willie was the mascot of the 1966 tournament. This is available as a set of 4 covers for the whole sheet, a single cover with 5 stamps or a cover with just one stamp as shown.
Note: each of the covers has a different label; only 10 covers have been produced with a single stamp.
