I bought this for my grandson and being totally ignorant of this sport I didn't know this was only the deck and not the wheels, the mechanism that attaches to the wheels called "trucks" (who knew??), or the sandpapery black surface that you also have to buy (forgot what that's called). There was not even a hint that this wasn't a complete skateboard in the product description - I thought I was getting a complete skateboard and I wasn't. This is a wooden deck and that's it. I had to search the Amazon site to find the other parts that actually make this a skateboard and then when I got all the parts I didn't know how to put it together. I had to go to a skateboard store anyway and pay someone to put it together for me. What I hoped to be an inexpensive present turned out to be very expensive indeed when I got all the parts. I would have been better off going to a skateboard store in the first place. The deck itself seemed fine but it's expensive only for a sculptured piece of wood. Unless you know what you're doing and can put the parts together yourself go to a skateboard store. You'll spend a lot less money.
