SOLD Vintage Austria-made IMCO lighters were initially constructed from used ammunition shells after WWI and manufactured since 1918. The tube on the bottom of the lighter is the ammo shell, which can be removed once ignited for a variety of lighting uses. Marked Triplex and Patent Austria on the bottom of the lighter. Uses liquid fuel and flint and is windproof, sturdy, and quite compact. It is my understanding that these have been on the commercial market since about 1950. Very good condition. A great gift for Dad!
