Vintage brass and glitter butterfly pin, just right for your spring jacket or sweater. The stamped brass wings were filled with glitter in designs resembling butterfly wings then encased in a clear layer of celluloid. Many of these came out of Taiwan, which, according to one butterfly website, "used to be known as the 'Kingdom of Butterflies' because of the massive export of butterfly products." These are still being made in a slightly different shape. Condition is good with light vintage wear on the back. Measures 1 5/8" wide and 1 5/8" high.
