This extravagant rhinestone brooch is composed of seven hearts, five of which make up the central flower, and all of which are filled with sparking clear rhinestones. The five sapphire blue navettes and goldtone mounting make this a wowser brooch that nobody will miss and everyone is sure to admire. The mounting has small openings under the rhinestones and the pinstem is 2" long and in excellent working order. The rhinestones are bright and clear. There is one rhinestone that is deep into the mounting, but beyond that this piece is practically flawless. The brooch is unmarked, but high quality. The construction reminds me of some Ciner pieces that used multiple pave rhinestone hearts to form the overall design. Then again, it is very similar to a pair of Claudette pins shown on page 138 of Ann Pitman's Inside the Jewelry Box, Volume 2. A perfect Valentine's Day brooch. Come to think of it, this is a perfect brooch for any special occasion!
